Before her legal career, Allison worked as an analyst in the oil and gas industry, where she researched and wrote for a forecasting firm providing detailed industry reports. She later worked as an attorney for an independent oil and gas production company, giving her practical insight into the regulatory challenges faced by businesses in highly regulated markets.

Allison is active with the Government Blockchain Association, where she is co-leading the Digital Asset Management course design. She earned her JD from Tulane Law School and received her Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the University of Louisville, where she also played Division I field hockey for four years.
