Crossing Borders on New Rails: Crypto, Stablecoins & the Future of Global Payments

    Presented by Cogent Law

    Thursday, November 19, 2026

    12:00 – 1:00 PM ET (presentation with live Q&A)

Virtual Event – Free to Attend

Stablecoins in Latin America are no longer a crypto story. They are a payments story. Exporters, remittance senders, card programs and consumer apps now move dollars across the Americas on stablecoin rails, and the rules on both sides of the border are catching up. The GENIUS Act has a statutory effective date of January 18, 2027, Brazil set an October 30, 2026 cutoff for unlicensed virtual asset service providers, and Mexico has a peso-stablecoin regime pending.

Join Ari B. Good for a practical presentation on how stablecoin payments work and what the law requires of them. The discussion moves deliberately: how money moves today, why the new rails matter, who uses them, who runs them, what the law requires on both sides of the border, and what to watch and do next. The session closes with live Q&A.

    What You Will Learn

    • How a cross-border payment moves on stablecoin rails compared with correspondent banking.
    • Why dollar demand, inflation, currency swings and remittance costs are driving stablecoin adoption in Latin America, and which countries lead.
    • Who the key players are, from consumer apps and exchanges to banks, major card networks and infrastructure providers.
    • Why the partner agreement is often the key legal document when customers see one brand and a different regulated entity sits behind it.
    • What the GENIUS Act’s yield ban means for stablecoin “rewards” programs in the U.S. and Latin America.
    • What the U.S. and local rules require of every stablecoin payment, and which deadlines to watch in the U.S., Brazil and Mexico.

    Who Should Attend

    • Founders and executives at fintech, payments, crypto and remittance companies working in or with Latin America
    • General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officers and BSA/AML officers at those companies

    • Banks and payment partners weighing stablecoin products, tokenized deposits or card programs
    • Teams active in Brazil and Mexico, or planning to bring a regional stablecoin to the U.S. market
