Tom is the Founder and Managing Partner of Cogent Law. His legal career includes representing major clients at Skadden, Arps in Washington, DC, legislative work on Capitol Hill, and serving as Managing Partner of the Washington, DC office of Perry, Krumsiek & Jack LLP. Tom is an experienced start-up executive and angel investor, and was the founder and president of GroupMagellan Legal Search.
Tom had thousands of candid, confidential conversations with clients and legal professionals in his varied roles as an attorney, law firm manager, and independent recruiter. He developed a unique understanding of the problems and pitfalls of traditional legal business models and an innovative vision for a new way of delivering legal services. Cogent Law is the realization of that vision.
